In the third quarter of 2025, the Puzzle RPG category on iOS in South Africa showcased varied performance across its top five apps. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps demonstrated distinct trends in downloads, revenue, and active user engagement.

Cup Heroes by Voodoo experienced a significant peak in weekly revenue, reaching approximately $623 in early August before tapering off to around $113 by the end of September. Downloads initially surged to 317K in early July but gradually declined to 30K by quarter's end. Active users fluctuated, reaching a high of 2.2K in early July and settling at 1.5K by late September.

Bag Fight, also from Voodoo, saw its downloads peak at 859K mid-July, dropping to 28K by September. Active users experienced an initial surge, peaking at 1.2K in mid-July before decreasing to around 79 by mid-September.

Best Fiends - Match 3 Puzzles from Playtika LTD showed a stable revenue pattern, peaking at $299 in early August. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at 152K in early September, while active users saw a high of 218 in late July, declining to 99 by the quarter's end.

DRAGON BALL Z DOKKAN BATTLE by Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. had notable revenue spikes, reaching $1.4K in early July and $1.3K mid-July. Downloads remained relatively low, peaking at 30K in late June. Active users were consistent, maintaining around 300 throughout the quarter.

Empires & Puzzles: Match-3 RPG from Small Giant Games had a revenue peak of $1.3K in late July. Downloads were minimal, with a slight peak of 41K in early July. Active users remained low, starting at 35 and ending at 27 by the end of September.
